Review Summary
Generated using AI from real user reviews
Draw.io earns consistent praise for being an accessible, affordable diagramming tool that speeds up workflow design work.
Users repeatedly highlight the drag-and-drop simplicity, template variety, and seamless integrations with platforms like GitHub, GitLab, and OneDrive. The ability to quickly create flowcharts, ER diagrams, and architecture designsβand then share them with teamsβis a major draw. The tool is free and requires minimal maintenance, making it appealing to both beginners and organisations deploying it across employees. Export options (SVG, images, iframes) add flexibility for embedding diagrams elsewhere.
Performance and rendering remain weak points. Multiple users report browser lag and rendering issues when working with complex, large diagramsβpages sometimes fail to load correctly or designs overlap. One reviewer found it difficult to locate and restore old diagrams. PDF export also causes alignment problems in some cases.
Overall, Draw.io works well for straightforward diagramming tasks and team collaboration, but struggles with performance at scale and export reliability.

βWhat do you like best? -Easy integrations with Github, OneDrive,β¦β
What do you like best? -Easy integrations with Github, OneDrive, Gitlab, etc. -Easy to embed SVG, Image, Html, Iframe to the ER diagrams & Flow charts. -Easy integrations with Github, Gitlab, OpenDrive, etc. -Offers different themes & Plugins support such as Atlas, Dark, Sketch, Ex, props, tree, etc. What do you dislike? It is challenging to trace back an old created flowchart or er diagram. Sometimes the page does not load up correctly, and the design overlaps when the complex flowcharts and diagrams are very big. Recommendations to others considering the product: I would recommend using Draw.io for designing the flow charts for any solution, Architecture design of any product, or algorithm design because this helps a lot and gives clarity on how the end output could be achieved and the input. It is easy for beginners also as it has a drag and drop feature available. What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you? With Draw.io, I can now design the flow charts and diagrams in no time at my fingertips. The Plugins and the drag and drop feature have reduced the efforts and speed up the overall time to create the entire diagram. I can easily export the created diagrams as it has wide range of export formate supported.
