PREIN - Photonics Research and Innovation Flagship is a Finnish research consortium dedicated to advancing photonics technologies. Operating under the Academy of Finland’s Flagship Programme, PREIN brings together top expertise from universities and research institutions to drive innovation in light-based technologies. The consortium focuses on understanding light-matter interactions, nanostructured materials, advanced lasers, and photonic integration to address industrial and societal challenges. PREIN offers a range of services, including research collaboration in photonics R&D, education through master’s and doctoral programs, and partnerships with industry for technology development.
