TMetric has almost all an average subcontractor needs. It comes handy when work statements are generated. The detailed report can be presented for approval thus making it easy to go through the month end closing workflow. More settings would be great, that is, setting which enable to use days or half days as units for time sheet for specific projects - this would be more in line with how some projects account for input resourtces but this is not the industry standard, I know. Features for some project budgeting and expense / revenue postings could also be great and would make it a unique tool for project managers.

TMetric is a very useful tool for keeping track of time spent on different projects, for different clients. The desktop portion of the application has good reminders that ask if you want to log your time and that asks what to do when activity stops for a period of time, so even if you forget to turn off the timer when you take a break or end off, TMetric keeps track and asks what to do about the break!

The canned stats and reports (without customizing anything) are all you'll need to run your company, track productivity, and improve your processes.
