Yokoy

The all-in-one spend management platform. Yokoy automates spend management for medium and large enterprises with artificial intelligence, combining expense management, supplier invoice management and smart corporate cards into one single intuitive platform. The Zurich-based company was founded in 2019 under the name Expense Robot by Devis Lussi, Lars Mangelsdorf, Melanie Gabriel, Philippe Sahli and Thomas Inhelder. Today the company already has over 500 customers, including companies such as Stadler Rail, Swissquote, BDO, On Shoes, or Zühlke. In March 2020, Yokoy announced a first round of financing of CHF 1.7 million led by Swisscom Ventures and SIX Group, with the participation of Myke Näf, founder of Doodle. The company name was changed from Expense Robot to Yokoy at the same time as the free Yokoy Business Mastercard was launched in August 2020. In October 2020, the acquisition of the competitor product FlowExpense was announced, which gave additional momentum to the growth. At the end of November of the same year, Yokoy started its expansion into the DACH market by opening a branch office in Vienna.
