The dashboard just makes sense. That sounds like faint praise, but for identity management software it's genuinely rare. I administer Okta for a small team and the day-to-day UI is clean enough that I'm never digging through five menus to do something routine. Adding a user, adjusting app assignments, reviewing login activity, all of it lives where you'd expect it to. The learning curve was real at first, but within a couple of weeks it felt almost intuitive. Two years in, I've watched them keep improving the interface without breaking the things I'd already learned.
For a small org, I was honestly bracing for overkill. Some enterprise tools are so packed with settings that a lean team like ours gets lost. Okta threads that needle well. The single sign-on setup for our stack took one afternoon, not a week. Customer support response times can be slower than I'd like when I hit edge cases, but the documentation is thorough enough that I rarely need to escalate. Worth every dollar.
