Pricing was the first thing I scrutinised when procurement handed me the evaluation shortlist. Enterprise software has a habit of looking affordable on the headline tier and then quietly multiplying once you factor in user seats, integrations, and support tiers. Dext didn't do that. The pricing structure was straightforward enough that I could model our full rollout cost across more than two hundred finance and operations users without needing a follow-up call with their sales team. That alone is worth noting.
We're roughly ten weeks into the rollout and the value story has only gotten clearer. The time our bookkeeping staff were burning on manual receipt sorting and supplier matching was genuinely significant. Dext's automatic supplier rules and the direct connections to accounting software have absorbed most of that overhead. I'm not going to invent a percentage figure, but my team leads are no longer chasing paper trails at month-end, and that has a real cost attached to it. The Precision tooling has also flagged several client data quality issues early, which is the kind of thing that previously slipped through to review stage.
If I had one honest reservation, it's that onboarding support at enterprise scale could be a touch more proactive. We had to push for a few things rather than being guided through them. Minor complaint in the grand scheme. For what you pay versus what you actually get in terms of capability and time recovered, the value sits well above anything I expected at this price point. Less than three months in and I'm already comfortable saying this was the right call.
