Six weeks in and the thing that keeps catching me off guard is how little I have to think about where anything is. The navigation just clicks. Every screen feels like someone actually sat down and asked, 'what does this person need next?' before laying out the buttons. For a small shop like ours, where nobody has time to dig through settings menus, that matters more than I expected. Onboarding a new hire last month took me maybe twenty minutes total, including uploading documents and assigning tasks. No tutorials, no help tickets.
There are small rough edges, don't get me wrong. The time-off calendar view isn't quite as polished as the rest of the product, and I had one moment where an email notification fired twice for the same request. Minor stuff. But the mobile app is genuinely good, which surprised me. I can approve a leave request while standing in line for coffee. For a team this size, Freshteam punches well above what you'd expect at this price point.
