The onboarding task list feature is the thing that earned Freshteam a permanent spot in my workflow. Before this, I was chasing down IT, facilities, and department leads individually every time a new hire started. Now I build a task template once, assign each step to the right person, and the system handles the reminders. Two years in, that single feature has probably saved my team more back-and-forth than anything else we've implemented. The pre-day-one document signing works smoothly too, which matters when your new hire is in a different state and can't pop by the office.
My one real frustration is with the reporting side. Time-off reports are solid, but custom reporting on onboarding task completion is thin. I want to pull data on how quickly tasks get closed across departments and that just isn't there in a useful way yet. Support has been helpful when I've reached out, though response times can stretch. Overall, Freshteam earns it for a mid-market HR team that wants structure without a massive implementation project.
