The UI clicked for me faster than I expected. Coming in as a solo consultant, I had nobody to hand me a training manual or sit across a desk and walk me through it. Just me, a browser tab, and a deadline. Indeavor's layout is organized in a way that actually makes sense, the navigation flows logically between schedule views and employee data, and I didn't feel like I was hunting for basic functions every time I needed them. That counts for a lot when you're moving fast. Most scheduling tools in this category look like they were designed for someone who enjoys reading footnotes. This one doesn't.
Day to day, the scheduling board is where I spend most of my time, and it holds up. Filtering by role, qualification, or availability is quick. The mobile app for employees is something I've actually been able to point clients toward with confidence, because workers can view shifts and request swaps without needing to call anyone. For a one-person shop managing a client's workforce data, that self-service piece removes a whole category of back-and-forth for me.
The one real frustration I keep running into is the reporting setup. Pulling a custom report requires more steps than it probably should. The templates are fine for standard use cases, but the moment you need something slightly different, you're spending time configuring fields that I wish were more accessible from the start. It's not a dealbreaker, just friction I notice every time. Overall though, a year in, the usability story is genuinely good. If you're evaluating this for a complex industrial environment, the UI alone won't scare your supervisors off.
