Licensed clinical therapist here, running a hybrid practice with about 60% telehealth sessions. Zoom for Healthcare with the BAA in place satisfies HIPAA requirements for my practice. Connection reliability matters enormously in clinical work - therapeutic ruptures from technology problems are real. Audio quality has been consistently good which matters for the subtle vocal cues clinical work depends on. Waiting room functionality manages session boundaries professionally. Recording is disabled for clinical sessions per my practice policy. Where I appreciate Zoom: customer support was excellent when I navigated the healthcare licensing setup. Pricing for Healthcare tier is reasonable for a private practice. The mobile app is functional for sessions when I'm travelling. Recommend for clinical telehealth providers who prioritise compliance and reliability.
