Figma was the tool I learned design in, so I have nothing to compare it to that I actually used in production - and I think that's a good sign of where the industry has landed. I love how forgiving the learning curve is. Auto Layout clicked for me after one Figma Academy video and now I use it everywhere. Components and variants felt scary at first but the visual tooling makes the concepts accessible. Being able to see senior designers' files and learn by inspecting their work has accelerated my growth more than any course. The community templates and free resources are incredible. AI features are fun to play with. I haven't really had to deal with pricing as my employer covers it.
