Rolling this out across a large organization surfaced a few things I wasn't expecting. Sage HR handles the core stuff well, leave tracking, org charts, the scheduling calendar, and most of my team picked it up fast. But edge cases gave me headaches. Custom approval workflows with more than two levels of sign-off got messy, and the system occasionally routed requests to the wrong manager when someone sat in a dotted-line reporting structure. Not a dealbreaker, but I spent more time in support chat than I'd planned to. To their credit, the support team was responsive and genuinely tried to help each time.
For a standard enterprise setup, Sage HR is genuinely solid and I'd push it over most alternatives I've evaluated. The org chart visualization alone saved hours of manual work during our last restructure. The limitations only show up at the margins, which is fine until your organization is full of margins. If you're evaluating this for a company with a lot of non-standard reporting relationships, test those specific scenarios hard before you commit.
