Solo founder, single product, $40K monthly run rate. Shopify is the operating system of my business. The Basic plan was the right starting point and I'm now considering an upgrade. The setup process was approachable enough that I launched without a developer. Theme customisation took some learning but Liquid is friendly enough for a non-engineer to make modifications. The mobile app is genuinely useful for fulfillment between jobs. Customer support has been responsive when I've had configuration questions. App store has solved every problem I've encountered though I'm careful about app sprawl. Transaction fees if you don't use Shopify Payments are punishing; I've stayed on Shopify Payments because of it. Solid platform for solo commerce.
