Support this good genuinely throws you. I'm roughly eight weeks into using Policy Pulse as a solo consultant navigating EU deep-tech policy work, and the thing that keeps catching me off guard isn't the features or the interface. It's the fact that every time I've hit a wall, a real person has responded within the hour and actually understood what I was asking.
I had a moment about three weeks in where I couldn't get the stakeholder mapping module to behave the way I needed it to for a client briefing due that afternoon. I sent a message expecting a boilerplate link to a help article. Instead, a support agent named Clara walked me through exactly what to adjust, offered a workaround for a known quirk, and followed up the next morning to check it had held. That follow-up is the part that stuck with me. It's a small thing, but when you're operating alone without an IT team to absorb the friction, it matters enormously.
The product itself covers the Brussels-facing side of my work well, particularly around tracking regulatory developments and mapping institutional contacts. There are moments where the onboarding logic feels like it was built for a larger team and I have to adapt it slightly to fit a solo workflow. But honestly, with support this attentive, those rough edges bother me far less than they would elsewhere. If you're a freelancer doing serious EU policy work and wondering whether a solo subscription makes sense, the answer for me has been yes, without much hesitation.
