Scheduled send is the unsung hero: I draft messages when ideas hit and they land at sensible local hours. Threads keep parallel discussions from collapsing into chaos. I run weekly written standups in a dedicated channel and the structure is now muscle memory for the team. Where Slack falls short: surfacing important async updates that happened overnight remains a manual process. The Recap feature is a step in the right direction but still misses a lot. Status indicators help signal availability, though my team has had to write our own conventions on top.
