Setting up Domo for a client from scratch, about eight weeks in now, and the permissions architecture is genuinely one of the better-thought-out systems I've touched in this category. Role-based access, PDP (Personalized Data Permissions) for row-level filtering, the ability to carve out exactly what each client stakeholder can see without rebuilding dashboards from scratch. For an agency context where one platform instance has to serve multiple clients cleanly, that matters a lot. I was skeptical it would hold up at any real granularity. It does.
The one thing that slows me down: the admin console UI has a few areas that feel unfinished. Bulk-editing user permissions across groups takes more clicks than it should, and finding the right toggle sometimes means opening three different settings panels. Customer support has been helpful but response times are inconsistent. Still, those are friction points, not blockers. For managing data visibility across a complex multi-client setup, Domo is doing the heavy lifting I needed it to do.
