The dashboards stopped me cold the first time I opened them. As a solo consultant working electroplating process optimization, I spend most of my day buried in chemistry data, and what Atotech's software gives you on the analytics side is genuinely impressive. Trend lines across bath chemistry cycles, plating thickness outputs, process deviation flags, all surfaced in one view without having to wrangle exports into a spreadsheet. About a year in, I still open the reporting module before I do anything else in the morning. It has become the backbone of how I present findings to clients.
The custom report builder deserves a specific mention. I can configure parameter groupings to match a client's specific line setup, which matters a lot when you're working across different facilities with different throughput targets. Filters are intuitive, drill-down behavior is predictable, and the export quality is clean enough to drop straight into a client deck. That last part saves me probably two hours per engagement, which adds up fast when you're billing solo.
The one real frustration is the scheduling feature for automated report delivery. It exists, but the configuration options are thin. I want to set conditional triggers, something like pushing a report only when a deviation threshold is crossed, and right now that's not possible without manually babysitting the queue. Their support team was helpful when I raised it and confirmed it's on the roadmap, but it's been on that roadmap since I started using the product. For a solo operator who needs hands-off automation, that gap is noticeable. Still, the core analytics are strong enough that I'd recommend anyone evaluating chemical process software put this near the top of their list.
