As CFO of a $25M DTC apparel brand on Shopify Plus, my view is partly financial controls and partly platform economics. The platform stability and uptime metrics are appropriate for a retail business of our scale. Reporting depth in the standard analytics is fine for operational use but we pipe everything to Looker for executive reporting. Shopify Capital has provided working capital we've taken advantage of, with terms competitive enough to use over traditional debt for inventory financing. Where I focus my finance scrutiny: total cost of ownership across Plus subscription, app stack, payment processing fees, and agency support is meaningfully larger than the headline Plus number. Customer support on billing questions has been responsive. Recommend with eyes open about TCO.
