What is Definitive InsureTech?

We appreciate the challenges faced by insurance entities such as Carriers, MGAs, Retailers, TPAs and brokers. Working with customers in London, America, Asia and Australia has enthused our passion for delivering innovation through technology. The payment of premiums for commercial insurance typically requires significant manual effort with many intermediaries performing duplicate actions (for example matching and reconciliation). The process is time consuming, prone to error and costly for all parties. DefinitivePay is an online payment platform which enables customers to pay their insurance premiums by card (100 PCI DSS compliant) or bank transfer. DefinitivePay provides a simple, secure and integrated online payment solution for commercial insurance which enables customers to pay their insurance premiums directly to the carrier. The platform manages the agreement of the premium values (including taxes, fees and deductions) between all parties. Once agreed, this data cannot be changed, removed or forgotten. This information provides input into the payment gateway to allow customers to make payment by card or bank transfer, whereby the agreed commissions are automatically transferred to the broker and Managing General Agent, hence reducing their administrative and regulatory burden.

Review Summary

Generated using AI from real user reviews

Definitive InsureTech's streamlined onboarding and automation deliver real operational gains, though support responsiveness lags.

The reviewer praises the speed and simplicity of client setup—compliance paperwork is handled inside the platform rather than sent separately, and clients were processing payments within days. Over three years, the platform has compressed a monthly two-afternoon workflow into quick reviews, with automatic commission splitting and immutable premium data preventing costly disputes and post-agreement tweaks.

The main friction point is customer support response time. The review cuts off mid-sentence on this criticism, so the full scope of the complaint remains unclear, but it's identified as a "real downside" serious enough to mention against otherwise substantial operational improvements.
