What is Morro Data?
Morro Data enables high-performance collaboration across global sites by offering a Hybrid Cloud NAS solution to sync, lock, and protect office and design files across multiple locations. Morroβs core team previously developed the award-winning industry-leading ReadyNAS. Hybrid Cloud NAS is NAS re-invented for the cloud era, moving data to the cloud for reliable, accessible and scalable storage, all while delivering local LAN performance. Applications for Morro Dataβs Cloud NAS solution include multiple office file sync, backup to the cloud, instant disaster recovery, ransomware protection, and remote design collaboration. With the explosion of creative content, video, and industry-specific applications, itβs time to move away from hardware-centric architectures and into the Cloud era. Thatβs why Morro Data continues its legacy of making IT simple by turning the traditional NAS upside-down with its CloudNAS Series. Now, businesses have 3-in-1 global file services to quickly and efficiently have DR-ready, unlimited file storage for multiple office file sync, share, and collaboration applications.

Review Summary
Generated using AI from real user reviews
Morro Data receives unanimous praise across all five reviews, with users consistently highlighting easy setup, reliable file sharing, and responsive support. The product works well for distributed teams needing shared access to files across multiple office locations while maintaining version control and file lockingβusers report it functions like a traditional server file share but without the infrastructure burden. Performance is a strong point; reviewers note fast speeds that feel local despite cloud backing, and automatic backups have prevented data loss in practice.
The only friction mentioned is minor and uncertain: one user occasionally experiences connectivity issues between two offices but isn't sure whether the problem originates with Morro, their network, or something else. All reviewers emphasize the intuitive interface, straightforward administration, and the ability to implement the system without specialized IT staff. Support responsiveness is singled out as a differentiator when issues do arise. The product appears to deliver particularly well for businesses sharing complex files (like AutoCAD designs) or managing data across geographically separated sites.

We're sharing Autocad DWG files, including complex xreference hierarchies between offices. We were very concerned going in about how well this would work, but for the most part it has been really great. The few times that we've had issues, Morro's tech support has been extremely responsive and able to solve the problems quickly. We setup cache drives in offices located in two different cities. Setup is very easy and the drives have worked very reliably. We were able to integrate with our on-prem ActiveDirectory, enabled DFS drive mapping, then moved files over from our file server. It's been very smooth sailing ever since. Having multiple backups of files automatically available has saved us many times. Cost and ease of implementation. We have been able to run essentially serverless in one of our other offices, using just a Morro cache drive for files where local access was critical.

βIt helps us keep a single set of data filesβ¦β
It helps us keep a single set of data files across different offices and allows us to keep file locking abilities while working collaboratively. Easy to use and fast. Users don't need to worry about conflicts and file locking... it works similar to our server file share. It syncs between three sites without having to worry about it and it lets us work collaboratively. There's a cloud backup (actually, the master copy) that maintains versioning so we can always rollback to a version if someone accidentally deleted or overwrote a file.

Been great and all of my clients love it! We offer to our clients and of course we are a user. The ease of setup and the common sense ease of backup and the ability to make easy changes and see the "flow" of everything all in the software. Love the sharing and the restrictions you can put on it. Love the software app on your devices to access the cloud when you are away from your LAN. And the ease of use to get to the cloud when you don't have access to either of the above!!

Overall, it's been everything I could have asked for. Easy to use. Custom tailored customer service. Intuitive interface. Nothing major of note. We have issues at times keeping users connected in two of our offices, but are still uncertain of the issue (whether network or something else) Reasons for Choosing CloudNAS Global File Service: I saw a user on Reddit post about Morro with regards to cached cloud storage. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] gave a great presentation and has helped us every step of the way. Even to this day.
